The list reveals that despite the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mckinsey.com\/capabilities\/quantumblack\/our-insights\/the-state-of-ai-in-2023-generative-ais-breakout-year\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rise of artificial intelligence<\/a> in the workplace, people still favor human over technical skills \u2013 out of the 10 skills listed, only 1 is tied to technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Top 10 skills for learners*:<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Leadership;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Project management;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data analytics;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communication;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change management;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaboration;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Leadership development;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Agile;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Problem-solving;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coaching.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>AI and its new applications are leading the list of trends that will define the future of work, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.key4biz.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Global-Economics-Analyst_-The-Potentially-Large-Effects-of-Artificial-Intelligence-on-Economic-Growth-Briggs_Kodnani.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">creating new jobs, replacing others<\/a>, and changing the way we build and develop our careers. A <a href=\"https:\/\/arxiv.org\/abs\/2303.10130\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">paper<\/a> published last year revealed that around 80% of the US workforce could have at least 10% of their work tasks affected by the introduction of large language models such as ChatGPT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the widespread adoption of AI solutions in the workplace, however, it is becoming essential to develop human skills that will help us manage these technologies. A<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mckinsey.com\/featured-insights\/future-of-work\/skill-shift-automation-and-the-future-of-the-workforce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> study by McKinsey<\/a> says the demand for social, emotional, and higher cognitive skills will rise by 2030: \u201cAccompanying the adoption of advanced technologies into the workplace will be an increase in the need for workers with finely tuned social and emotional skills\u2014skills that machines are a long way from mastering.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><b>Janice Burns, Chief Transformation Officer at Degreed, said:<\/b> \u201cThe fact that the majority of the skills in the top 10 list are human skills like problem-solving and communication highlights how important it is for us humans to work together to make the most of the AI age we\u2019re in.
