While vendors touted AI on roadmaps and in demos, buyers were skeptical. Corporate users in the Fosway network consistently reported underwhelming functionality and lagging adoption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Why? The hesitation comes from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Internal politics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Security concerns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Governance barriers<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The unknowns of ROI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In some cases, IT teams are pushing back. In others, people are simply waiting to see who makes the first move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/degreed.com\/experience\/blog\/more-speed-less-cost-bigger-impact-learning-in-an-ai-world\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\" noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"267\" src=\"https:\/\/explore.degreed.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/CTA_Speed-Cost-Impact_Max-LENS-2025-1280x333-1-1024x267.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-85365\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Where AI <em>is<\/em> Working<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Some promising uses of AI? The ones you almost don\u2019t notice. Like intelligent assistants in authoring tools or agentic features that automate complex reports with a simple prompt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That \u201cquiet AI\u201d has massive potential\u2014especially in areas learning systems have historically struggled with, like personalization and reporting. If the system can simply <em>do the thing<\/em> without users realizing it\u2019s AI, adoption will follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leteney calls out analytics use cases as particularly impactful: If AI can answer, for example, \u201cHow compliant is this region?\u201d and generate a report\u2014without an admin needing to run significant queries\u2014that\u2019s potentially indispensable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AI Hype Advice for Learning Leaders<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For those wondering how to navigate the AI maze, Leteney offers this: \u201cGo looking\u2026&nbsp; Learn as much as you can, because this is coming almost as a tsunami, and making the best of this is going to improve your role in your company. And if you don&#8217;t, then that&#8217;s going to be holding you back. So I think, absolutely, embrace this massively.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And remember, AI doesn\u2019t have to be flashy to be powerful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What matters most now is value\u2014not novelty<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Degreed is built for this moment.
