Degreed Appoints Elizabeth Tan Levy as Chief Product Officer to Accelerate AI-Powered Skills Intelligence Platform

Industry veteran brings rare combination of workforce data expertise and AI product leadership to deepen Degreed’s position as the leading AI-powered skills intelligence platform, and to expand its vision for capability intelligence.

May 27, 2026 — Degreed, a leading AI-powered skills intelligence platform, today announced the appointment of Elizabeth (Liz) Tan Levy as Chief Product Officer. Liz joins Degreed from The Burning Glass Institute, where she led the development of an AI-enabled research and data team at one of the world’s most respected authorities on skills and workforce intelligence.

The appointment signals Degreed’s continued investment in skills intelligence—and specifically in the AI infrastructure required to make that intelligence agentic. Degreed’s vision is to build the world’s leading skills profile: a comprehensive, living picture of workforce capability that organizations can understand, act on, and build from. Maestro, Degreed’s AI solution designed to help navigate continuous change, is central to that strategy. Maestro enables the human side of transformation, turning passive knowledge into active application and helping build measurable, enduring capability at scale.

“We’re building toward a future where skills intelligence isn’t just something you report on, it’s something your platform acts on,” said David Blake, CEO of Degreed. “Companies need depth in the skills layer, and sophistication in the AI layer. They need now to understand, measure, and act on skills intelligence at scale. Liz has spent her career building exactly that kind of capability. Her background in workforce data and AI-enabled product is exactly what this next chapter of Degreed’s roadmap demands.”

Liz brings a distinctive background that spans the full landscape of workforce intelligence. Before The Burning Glass Institute, she worked at Lightcast, where she drove product-led growth across multiple stages, building workforce analytics products used by enterprises, governments, and educational institutions worldwide. Earlier, she developed and launched personalized learning and content discovery products at Reed Elsevier.

“Degreed was built on the belief I’ve always held: that where you started shouldn’t define where you end up,” said Elizabeth (Liz) Tan Levy, Degreed’s Chief Product Officer. “AI is reinventing how companies build talent—and Degreed sits at the center of it. What’s the ground truth for skills, learning, and capability? It’s Degreed, where learning records, skill graphs, and growth signals live. I’m here to build on that foundation and make it sharper, faster and more actionable in an agentic future of learning.”

She will lead Degreed’s global product organization, overseeing platform strategy, product development, and the continued development of Maestro alongside Degreed’s broader agentic AI capabilities.
